Even if we're getting old, we will be able to inspect before we buy...

P.S. Don't run to the store too fast. Gotta stop to the Bank first... Michel

It looks like it going to be selling for around 1,000. Worth it? For a high production body or mechanic shop yes, for a restoration.... probably not.0

Sincerely, I prefer to continue to have my back and knees working to keep them in shape as long as I can. And I have a warning sensor already in my body. When my back or knees are tired, I get up, find a seat facing my car, and take my pain killers that I store in a fridge nearby... Michel0

Main think I need is a magnetic tray to attach to my "conventional" creeper. I do a lot better planning than I used to, as far as tools and stuff to take under the car, because getting up and down is so much harder- but don't think I'm ready to put out a grand for the super whiz-bang model!0

Chris, you are young enough that this would be a good investment for you. As for me, I have only a few good years left getting up and down on that creeper. Had to buy a low rider to get my fat body low enough to slide under the Hudson. Got under there and was looking at the gas tank and fell asleep. It was a wonderful hour......0

Brownie, I've never heard a better description of how we work on our Hudson's, got to love it. But want a great tool that this invention is!!!0

I think this is cool. I only wish I was younger to get more use out of it. My back is about shot now. This thing may have saved it a little longer.0

Brownie, my creeper kept running into the drop light cord so I use old cardboard boxes and just bring a handfull of tools with me. Of course not all the ones I will need and a little nap never hurt anyone unless they were behind the wheel on the interstate! Bruce0

I find those cardboard boxes very comfortable. You add a little pillow and zzzzz.
Something that I always carry under a car is a clear plastic full face mask. No more dirt in my eyes... Oups! And tools too! Michel0 -
Its not for me either. I cant move that fast and besides my wife would miss all the sound effects of me working on my Hudson. You know the groans and occasional &^%$& when I hit my head or---well you get the picture0

Actually, this whole thread has inspired me. I'm going to make a little "tool dolly" out of sheet metal, with 1" sideboards all around, and little casters underneath. Put your tools on it, put yourself on your creeper, and wheel the whole shebang under the car. Could even have the luxury of a few extra tools on it, in case that 9/16 bolt turns out to be a 1/2 inch.
Be watching your Eastwood catalog, when I go into full production. DeLuxe model will include a cup holder, and sideboards will be pinstriped.0 -
I would have to say all practicality aside one of the joys of working under a car is getting squeezed in over the rear end your hands behind the exhaust which has now taken you 10 mins to find you have wrong wrench or socket. Pulling yourself out swearing for 30 mins getting the right wrench getting back under there and finding the nut has seized. These are the joys we live for LOL And I too have a cardboard box for work. And a creeper I always forget I have a creeper I usually spy it from my position under the car on the cardboard. That thing looks to new fangled to me I would take that money and buy more parts of tools. The only answer to how many tools do you need is "All of them"0
