FYI
A Person ive helped occassionally restoring a '53 Hornet Cpe the past couple Yrs stripped all the door handles, window cranks, bumpers, rockets, and vitually every pc of side stainless trim then took to a Plater. The car is now ready for paint, but the Plater 'disappeared' and the building is locked.
This person called me wanting to find every Piece again then start over. I gave him some contacts from the WTN, but if you can assist, pls call Bobby Koski in NC bltdknc@gmail.com 704 287 5936.
Thank You

Find the owner of the building through county real estate records. Its unlikely the plater took your friend's parts with him, and the owner would probably like to get his building cleared out. Do it soon, before everything goes to the dump!

Sorry to hear that what was the plater company name so if he show up again we can beware
  • Ol racer, I left him a message. What charles4d said is important we need to know so anyone else who thinks about doing business with this guy has a heads up.

UPDATEThe Person Bobby Koski, that needed
all the Stainless and misc chrome Pcs for a Hornet Cpe because his Plater skipped Town has a happy ending as a result of Posting..The Day after Posting this request, Bobby had a call from a Person in NC an Hour away and obtained 95 % of the Trim needed...
Bobby wanted to thank Lance in NC, Jason Fisher, and the others that called

    Thanks
    PS:
The Platers Name was Bernado Plating and previously had a Compamy in CA. He remains missing. Bobby and 4 other restorers are pursuing legal Action that may take some time. If they break into Bldg to get their parts, they would be arrested: Sometimes strange the way Legal System works.....

    Good to hear the results!
Another reason to be sure and catalog and photograph every item you send out to have re-plated.
