Blue Crown sponsored Hudson Hornet racing. Does anyone know what Blue Crown plug the Hornet used? I have a NOS box of Blue Crown 87-SX spark plugs, and wondering what they fit.

Comments

  • According to the Blue Crown books the plug number that was used in the Hornets was an M7L or M7Lx, this number was the cross for Champion H-10 through H-11. The X was a designation for dual ground contacts for the plug.
I do know what Blue Crown 87 fits, but not 87-SX. Are they 18MM or 14MM plugs?

I remember putting Blue Crown plugs in Air Force Vehicles (mostly Fords) in the early 60's. The goverment must have had asizable contract with them.

I have some reconditioned Hudson script champion H8 and J9 plugs that I will sell @ 15.00 each plus shipping. Nice display item.
