Rus$ells Wheel

I have a 40 travler column and wheel on my truck. Although I love me sum pitina ,the steering wheel has missing chunks out of the grip area and when the wheel returns to center after a turn it wants to rip off chunks off skin.I lost alot of skin building this thing and thought that part was over. Does someone make a composite/epoxy or something that marries to the hudson material ? I dont care about color or what it looks like as it is a retro rod and wheel will be covered in rope and wrapped in friction tape like my bros old hudson racer .

    Epoxy Resin (2--part) works great.

i think i used a jb weld specificly for plastic and it worked great on my wheel. cleaned out the cracks with a cut down hacksaw blade first.i got a plastic model paint that was pretty close to orig wheel cover, not that you want to go to that trouble.

Yes the eastwood kit works very well, and stays put, just follow all directions

I've used the Eastwood kit. The epoxy they provide worked well to fill cracks, but I'd never use that vinyl paint they provide with it again. Stuff chips off every time you get near it with your ring finger. For my next steering wheel restoration, I'll use real automotive primer and polyurethane automotive paint, perhaps base coat/clear coat for best durability

Good point DocHornet, I did not use their paint, just the filler/prep kit and adhesion promotor- very happy with result.
