All front stepdown motor mounts are the same regardless of engine. Doug Wildrick sells them and they sometimes appear on eBay as NOS. If you are not concerned with originality, the AMC replacements that Paul has are a better choice.

I don't recall t model application, but the brand is Anchor and the part number is 2330. Advance Discount Auto was about $9.00 a few weeks ago. no pictures, but I bet you could Google it or check the Advance web site. they are square rather than round. The two bolts that mount it to the chassis are used from the old mount. You will need a new nut for the top bolt, Hudson was fine thread, The AMC is course thread, so stop by the hardware store on the way home.

I installed a set of AMC type that was made in Korea and the once Smooth 308 is now a Vibrator
. The Rubber is so Hard that it sends all of the 6-cylinders down to the Frame when in the Idle Mode.
Found a good used set out of a locals that was sold by Dick Bell when he was selling parts and now the 308 is back to its smooth Idle mode. ( as smooth as it can be with all moving parts balanced) Hope this helps. Rudy

EXACTLY. The AMC mounts may be "more heavy dutyer" but that is NOT how Hudson's engineering staff intended them to be. The rubber in the factory mounts has a specific durometer (hardness quotient) and the cone design is intentional all for best absorption of engine vibration and torque. NOS will separate from age and the rubber has deteriorated. AMC mounts are cheap and incorrect and you will get the vibrations you deserve. Support your HET parts supplier by putting the RIGHT part in your car; i. e. buy from Wildrick !!!
  • I second that, even a replacement REAR motor mount made of the hard rubber will cause problems.

I'M NOT SAYING NOT TO BUY FROM DOUG AT ''WRP'' BUT THE GUYS WITH THE HOPPED UP 308 ENGINES BREAK THAT IS WHEN I SAY USE THE AMC MOUNT. THE DRIVERS SIDE MOUNT CAN NOT BE SEEN (IT'S UNDER THE BATTERY TRAY AND THAT IS THE SIDE THAT BREAKS ALL THE TIME )
  • You are right Paul in that Hudson even had a special mount for the 7X. Similar in concept to the older splasher mounts . Rubber pads with a bolt thru the middle . No way to pull it apart but does transmit more vibration. They are still around if you look.
Not knocking the AMC ones or the Doug supplied original type. Just depends on what you want,
    Roger
