Have a look at my new truck

Well, I got her home. After years of bugging an old friend to sell it to me, he finally said "yes".
Its a bit of a daimond in the rough, but I am very happy with that and for now I plan to leave as it is.
It has been sitting for a long time, so it has the normal hickups to sort out, brakes, stuck clutch, electrics. It runs very good but needs a carb kit. It has zero rust and the body and frame is in exellent shape.
Some one stuffed a staight 8 in it , with overdrive, a long time ago wich is A ok by me!
It has car front fenders, and the bumper I am unsure about.
It has two different style of rims, but the caps match, The tail gate is home made.
Has a radio and heater.
I am going to have a lot of questions as this is a new contraption to me as all my other Hudsons are 29 and older, so to me this is a very complicated machine with way to many leavers and wires.
So tell me what you think.<img

Yep, I think that's one of those that you should just fix things as needed, otherwise leave as is and enjoy. Glad you were finally able to get ahold of it- have fun!0

Neat Truck ! someone made themselves a nice driver there and added a few things to make it thier own .0

Congratulation, good looking truck. Looks almost a twin to the one I recently bought, looks like the same color paint job. I got excited when I saw your photos. The bumper in the bed appears to be the original front bumper like on two of my trucks. Drive it and enjoy.

A Truck , And an eight , AND overdrive. Doesn't get much better. LOL0

Great looking ride, Paul. Should get some attention at the local drive-in. That 8 is a big bonus - a lot of those 46-47 trucks were swapped to 8's so you can consider it original. Enjoy.

and was driving it around the yard, what a hoot!, Next is the carb kit.Is there any thing I should know about it?0 -
Good looking truck, those rear wheels could be off a 1938 Hudson 8 cylinder, I think we had those wheels down under on 1938 8 cyl.models, I used to have a set of trim rims with the same ridged pattern the hub cap then fitted of these trim rings..0

That's interesting about the rear rims, I sure like the looks of them and would love to find another set for the front.0
