Sounds like you have the wrong float setting. Did you use a NOS kit, if yes the needle seat will not work with todays gas. List car year and the number that is on the brass tag, and I will try to help. Walt.0

Thanks for the info. Does the kit come with the accelerating pump? I'm sure my carbs need that as well. We have a '54 Hornet with Twin-H and the WA-1-968s carbs.
I was trying to reach Walt because I know he rebuilds these carbs and I wanted to know what he charges for that service. I'm undecided if I want to rebuild them myself. Thanks again.
