A/C brackets

Anyone have a photo of the three piece A/C brackets installed or not, that Joe Stinnett offers in the WTN? I emailed him and he said he does not have a picture of them. I'm reluctant to buy something without seeing it first.

Chris, I have Joe Stinnets brackets installed and have pictures of them but I don't know how to post pictures on the forum. Bruce0

Bruce, from the write comment box at the bottom, click on the "attach a file" then the browse button. Find your photo and click on that. I used to post my pictures on photobucket and then move them from there to here. now its real easy.0

Ken, don't you mean the left front of the block? You described the bracket that I designed, but it fits on the driver's side of the block, which I say is the left front corner of the block.0

Just about finished with my third (and final) try on my Clifford headed 308. Of course
I'll have to space the fan forward 5/8" to clear the compressor and that presents a problem with the radiator that I haven't resolved yet. I will admit to being a little obsessed with hiding the compressor from view so I'll give it a coat of semi-gloss black to further blend it with the chassis, battery box, inner fender...

Well, thank you for that Ken U-Tx! With all the setbacks I encountered with the brackets, the radiator solution seems way to easy. Lol. Looks like flopping the brackets will allow me to use my other fan with more pitch on the blades too.0

Do I understand that Stinnet's brackets go on the left front to work with power steering like
a 54 Hudson?0 -
here are the pictures Brumac sent me of Stinnet's brackets0

Ivan, Mine is mounted on the front right corner of the engine, when sitting in the drivers seat. Bruce0

I have lots of pictures and description of installing A/C on my '51 Hornet Club Coupe, including 1:1 scale drawings of the compressor/alternator mount I fabricated in my shop. My compressor is mounted on the driver side.. I couldn't see any justification of having it sitting on top of the exhaust manifold (unless perhaps you have power steering). And, even though I had acquired a dual-groove crank pulley, I decided to just go with a single belt to drive everything. That Sanden compressor requires minimum horsepower, and I've never had a belt squeal.
Here's a link to my install description... you'll find it about halfway down the page:
