source for Hudson carpet?

Hi All,

How are you guys doing the carpet in your Hudsons? I've never found any "kits" available (you know, precut to size and all that junk) so I'm wondering if you guys simply get carpet and cut it to size or what??

    Bob Rosol in NJ makes carpet sets for Stepdowns, not sure about earlier models. He's in the Roster. My brother, Dennis Chilton, who works with Doug Wildrick makes custom sets and can mail them. He can be reached at Wildrick Restoration and Rubber Parts.

    I bought mine from SMS auto fabric of Portland Org. Within a few weeks we are starting to install the interior.The headliner is already installed. All from SMS. Ray

    Ray, let us know about the fit and quality of their carpet set. How did the headliner install go?

    The headliner fit very nice.Doug I think the owner of SMS sent me a very light color headliner but The original was darker color but he said the lighter color would look a lot better because of all the dark brown carpet and reproduced brown cord cloth material that they had reproduced for me. I also hace dark brown naguhyde material. The rest of the lower front pieces of inner door panels are being done and pretty soon installation time. The headliner
    only needs a verry small amount of steaming.and maybe not when the trim is placed there might not be any wrinkles. Ray

    Our nephew did all the sewing and finishing and he sewed all seams exactly the same as original. Ray
