Don't expect to see much about Hudson.. I think the Hall of Fame in Charlotte has more. Park can fill you in on what is there.

I've always wanted to visit "Racing's North Turn Beach Bar and Grill" located at the actual north turn.

There isn't much about Hudson when it comes from nastycar for whatever reason. There was a lot of hype during the NASCAR 50th anniversary promotions in 1997 or was it 1999. In all fairness there wasn't much coverage of the first 10 years or so actually. Much of that was because France had a hatred of his early drivers because of thier moonshine running roots. Most everybody has probably heard the story about the organizational meeting to form NASCAR. France made the flat statement 'NO MOONSHINE RUNNERS ALLOWED'. Somebody quietly reminded him that he was going to lose 3/4s of his drivers with that rule.

    thanks guys for the info.

I did take a 90 min tour of the Daytona Speedway that was pretty awesome. The tour guide told me afew years ago they had a museum but everything got moved to NC nascar HOF.

Then we ran down to the Racing's North Turn Bar and checked out all the history there. I even got to swim on the beach where the cars were running, however i couldn't find any hudson parts laying around...hahhaha just Buick and Ford parts...haha

Below are pictures from the North Turn Bar check them out.

This is what the North Turn looks like now.
  • Sure glad I had a chance to run my midget and stock car on the beach track. AH, those were the days. Walt.
