36 Terraplane engines

I have to say I'm puzzled ...when I was looking for 34 - 36 engines, everybody wanted to hang onto them and I couldn't find anything to buy. Now I make note that I have 2 spares... can't figure it out; nobody wanted to sell engines, but nobody wants any either?

From 16 JUN:
I have two 1936 date-coded 6-Cylinder Terraplane used engines I got from a hot-rodder near L.A. The idea was to have these two engines to make one good, complete, motor (everything there from fan to flywheel, more-or-less) - I used a 35 block I got in the deal, so these are overage. They are located about 100 miles NE from San Mateo and I could get them over to San Mateo, if need be.

Have you listed these in the WTN classifieds? The people who frequent this forum are probably a minority of all the Hudson enthusiasts out there, and there is a decent chance that someone (who doesn't hang out here) might need your engines. What they hey...it doesn't cost you anything to e-mail your ad into the magazine (assuming you're a Club member of course!).

Time is the issue; not going to get anything accomplished via WTN in time to get arrangements for the National. Beyond that, shipping engines is not of much interest. They'll go for scrap and then that makes the rest all that much more valuable and rare.

If you can't get any interest here on the forum, I would just take them to San Mateo and sell them there.
