I'm buying the full stainless trim set for a '52 Hornet Coupe from another forum member to "tart-up" my plain-Jane '51 coupe. The trim is on the way, supposedly complete EXCEPT the following parts which I am trying to track down:

1) little stainless connectors/covers for the front and rear windshield trim (connects and covers the mating ends of each

2) ALL the trim attachment clips for the whole set... this is the belt-line trim, as well as around the side, rear, and front windscreen

If anyone has these for sale, or could suggest a source, I'd be grateful.

email direct HETphil@auldridge.org of course, drop the HET

Thanks in advance

    Doc,

Do the '51 and '52 coupes have the same cabin/greenhouse dimensions in the rear quarter? They don't on the four door sedans, and the application of the '52 stainless would take some effort to properly fit. Last owner of my sedan put '52 stainless on the car and it forms an S where it should make a smooth turn. Also cross piece doesn't fit because of the smaller rear glass in the '51 causing it to be be a couple of inches above the glass.

Problem could be from workmanship, but dimensions in the quarters of the 4drs are certainly different.

Rest of '52 trim seems to fit OK-at cowl/roof and sides.

I'm going to return to the '51 trim before painting, but it is going to leave a lot of holes to fill from removing the retainers.
