Hafker Auction - Sept 14th

Recieved the following email yesterday:

Judy Hafker, widow of the late HET (and NEC) member Bill Hafker, is planning an auction of all of his cars and parts. Many of these cars are Hudsons. Sam Jackson is going to try to get something into the upcoming issue of the WTN, but it would be helpful if we could also reach the individual Chapter newsletter editors, especially those chapters which are near Minnesota, where the auction will be held.

Basic facts below. (The auction company has not yet listed an inventory, or photos, of the cars on their website, but at least there is a link to the company,

AAUCTION: Forty cars, car parts and literature (Hudson and other makes) formerly owned by the late H-E-T member Bill Hafker of Donnelly, Minnesota. Auction to be held Saturday, Sept. 14 at the Hafker home in Donnelly. Auction is on-site but will also run online. VanDerBrink Auctions, 507-673-2517. Hudsons include:

1950 Commodore Eight convertible, not running but complete, no rips in top, and '50 Commodore 4-door, both stored inside. Also 20 "outside Hudsons" including1949 Super Six 4-door and brougham, 1950 Commodore sedan, 1951 Super Six 4-door, 1953 Super Jet and Hornet 4-doors, 1954 Hornet 4-door, 1956 Hornet 4-door and others. Hudson literature and many parts (not yet catalogued).

Non Hudsons include:

1949 Packard "woody" wagon, 1951 Kaiser, '51 Nash, '57 DeSoto Firesweep, '63 Catalina 4-door, '65 or '66 Rambler Classic convertible, all stored inside. Outdoor cars: (2) Frazers, '59 & '60 Edsel, '64 Pontiac Bonneville V8 wagon, several V8 Ramblers including '66 Marlin, many others.
