PerTronix Question
The PerTronix Igniter system I am working on had small magnets place in part that replaces the distributor cam. In this case I am working with a four cylinder engine. There are two magnets per cylinder. A large one and a smaller one. One turns it on and one turns it off? Anyway.. one pair fell out during a distributor rebuild. I put them in, but now one cylinder does not fire. No doubt the small magnets are somehow oriented by polarity.. But how do you tell how they go in the slots? I have sent a question to the PerTronix Tech section and haven't heard back yet. I may have to buy a new rotor assembly. I just thought someone on the forum might have some in depth knowledge of the system.
