Since we'll be having our National Meet in the Bay Area this year thought you might like to see what someone would have had to pay for a '39 there and then.
Found this 2 page "flyer", handed or mailed out to dealers, amongst my '39 lit. while packing up stuff for sale to bring to National.
2nd page perhaps more interesting as it list all the accessories avail. by model + prices.

what a pain ~0

as an aside you'll notice the first page is dated Mar. '39 whilst the accessories page was sent out in Oct. '38 showing prices for the '39 models. These are on just plain paper & stapled together.0

I appreciate the pain you went through to share these ; great to look at.
Thanks for taking the time0 -
oh the scanning & PC work were nothing it's just trying to post & display them in here, LOL0

Thanks so much for posting those! My 39 Six was bought in Alemeda!0

I think mine came from the west coast. Thanks for posting.0

This is the sort of material I'm always looking for to put in the online library. I know it's out there - just got to find people willing to share and donate to the cause. Many, many thanks to those of you who have helped us build this resource for the club members. Again, I don't get a nickle out of this - I get the satisfaction of somebody finding something that will help them with their Hudson, et al, project.

you're welcome to copy it & add it to your trove or I could attach it to an e-mail.
I've pre-sold most of my '39 lit. & the original is going to that buyer.0 -
Looking at this again I see that for the 112 there was a trunk lid extension available ; anybody got any clues as to what this looked like?0
-
Thanx Pete, I copied it. Will work my magic upon the copy and have a full size version to put somewhere.
Do let me know what you bring back from San Mateo - we might be able to work something out. Depending on how much my co-pay comes to after my cataract surgurey.

Sure Alex & good luck with the surgery; I had it done a few years ago, a "piece of cake" + 20-20 implants.0
-
Yes Good luck with it Alex, hope all goes well. And oldhudsons would you put it in an email for me?0
-
Sure Val, just need your e-mail address.0

thanks, Pete for posting!

Oldhudsons sent you a message0

Val - e-mail attached.
RL - RIGHT, a Custom 8 conv. brougham, with dual sidemounts, EH, radio, clock, w.w., all the "bells & whistles", $1000 "out the door"!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
Thank you0

Those are "BS" prices. Oh - I mean Before Speculators.
Of course you do have to realize in the 1930's the average wage was around $1300. An airline pilot made the most ($8000) while a hired gun (really) made $5200) while a live in maid averaged only $260 a year. A United States Congressman took home $8,663 - maybe they should try living on that today.
