Won't be going to the San Mateo meet after all.

Hi Folks, unfortunately I won't be going to the San Mateo national after all. Fred Connors, who was going to drive down with me, injured his foot and had to cancel. I don't want to drive that far in my convertibe alone without Freds' mechanical expertise, so I've sadly decided to forgo the meet. I cancelled my reservations at the Marriott today. Maybe some other Hudson folks can get the room. I was really looking forward to the meet but at least I came a long way on the convertible getting it ready. I'm sure everyone that goes will have a good time. Happy Hudsoning. Rob

    Rob, would you possibly want to mention your location, on the slim chance that some Hudsonites might be traveling past you on their way to the National? They might have an ''authorized Hudson mechanic'' on board, and if you join a convoy there is safety in numbers. I know it's a long shot, but it might be worth a try. I can guess how disappointed you must be to have this happen to you.

    Sorry to hear about Fred, and I can understand Rob's reluctance to go it alone. Fred would be hard to replace as a "shotgun mechanic"- As the old saying goes, he's forgot more about Hudsons than I'll ever know.

    Too bad, Rob! Give Fred our condolences and I hope he's better soon! I know the Halls are coming down I-5 from Toledo with their convertibles and I'm sure there are some others that you could caravan with. If nothing else, jump in the daily driver and join us! :)]
