I've pulled many a gm or ford distributors, never a hudson...any, "gotchas" to look out for?

The gear is on the oil pump, and keyed to the distributor with and offset slot arrangement. As long as you don't move the engine and note the distributor position you'll be fine.0

The drive gear is pinned on to the oil pump as long as you don;t take off oil pump the end of distributor shaft has a offset screwdriver slot that matches the oil pump gear and you can turn engine over as many times as
you want the dist. will go in one way. If you don't take out oil pump. Ray0 -
Turned out to be pretty simple, took me longer to mark the cap/wires than it did to pull it, put the gasket in and re-install.
