Can someone here verify the is 1929 Hudson or Essex Please.
It's a Parabeam light, 8" across the lens when assembled, the body is approximately 6 1/2"
deep.
The lens is a number L270 , 8 27/32 X 7 15/16 " , uses 21 cp two filament bulbs.
It's in nice condition with no dents or pitting into the metal , and the silver on the reflector cleans up
nice.
I want to sell this for $45 , but I need to know if I'm right on the application.
I sold my 1929 Hudson , 40 years ago , and my memory is a little weak.
I'll try posting the photos
Thanks for any help
Roy

looks like a '29 Hudson headlamp to me, too big to be for the Essex

Thanks Pete. Is there a way to verify 29 Hudson off the lens number?
  • Thats Essex. 29 Hudson is near or over 11" across. And the mount is differant.

Thanks Paul , I found the lens number listed. Says 28-29 Essex and 27-28 Hudson
along with 29 Moon and 27/28 Nash. I'm guessing Essex , I'll try for a good photo on google image.

It is definitely '29 Essex. '28 ones were the same size. but steel shell.
