GAS TANK DRAIN PLUG

I HAVE 54 HUDSON WASP AND IT APPEARS TO HAVE A DRAIN PLUG

IF IT IS A PLUG I CAN'T FIND AN ALLEN WRENCH THAT FITS IT....COULD IT ME THAT IT TAKES A SOCKET WRENCH EXTENSION? IF SO WHAT SIZE

    You can use a 3/8 short extension but you need to grind the male end to fit the inside of gas tank drain plug . Ray

    If you happen to have a metal lathe and some cutting tool steel. There is probably a piece there the right size ,then put a wrench on it.

  • Take care when removing this plug as one can twist the plug brazing completely out of the tank? Learned this the hard way!
  • Yep been there done that. Turned into the Niagara Falls of stale gas. Nasty.
