Radiator replacement
Now that I finally got my '49 Hudson running with another carburetor. The carburetor that I had rebuilt was poorly rebuilt and my car would not run with it. That's another story. Anyhow now my radiator started leaking. We pulled it out and sent it to a radiator shop and was told that it was not repairable. I found on another discussion using a radiator from a '70's B series van. I purchased one and I'm not sure if it's going to work.
The previous discussion showed it installed in a '54 Hudson. Mine is a '49. I believe I would be able to slide it in front of the U shaped radiator support after removing all the bolts that hold the side support radiator baffles. Although it will slide down there is no way to adjust the radiator back and forth to the fan. The fan is now about 2 1/2" to 3" away from the radiator. It's supposed to be about 1".
Any suggestions?

Is this the article? The post indicates the radiator was installed in a 51 Pacemaker. This article explains how the writer spaced the radiator.
