"Near disaster" all better

I completed the repairs to the burnt wiring on my Pacemaker. Had to remove the instrament cluster to access it. Luckily the only damage done was to the instrament light wiring , the wire to the amp light, wire from the circuit breaker to the ignition switch and the wire to the factory radio, which is where I suspect it all started from, grounding out where it goes over the bracket for the vent lever. I did not hook the radio back up. I worked on it Tuesday, had the wiring done and Wednesday I put the instrament cluster back in. All system good to go!!.

I sure do feel lucky it wasn't much worse. Drove it to Cruise night Wed. night and last night also.

While I had the Instrament cluster out I thought I would try to fix the red 'lens' for the amp & oil lights. I had bought some tail light lens repair tape thinking I could use that but I didn't like it so I tried something else. I laid the "lens on a block of wood, took my heat gun and carefully warmed it up a little and using another piece of wood pressed down and then 'ironed' them out. Not perfect but no white light shining now.
