I've got this idea to put hollywood headliner stainless in my club coupe. Has anyone done this or is it impossible? I thought I could use 52 club coupe headliner side stainless trim to cover the attachment screws on the bow trim off a Hollywood. The hollywoods use a wide side trim to cover the bottom of the bow trim but its not shaped right for a club coupe.

Chris, I had the same idea so last week while I have my headliner out and have just refit the headliner bows I brought a set of Hollywood stainless in for a dry fit. Bummer!!! The roof line for the coupe is a lot different than for the Hollywood. Each section of stainless would need to be cut and joined from one inch too almost three inches in the back. The back section is on an angle and would need to be sectioned and trimmed to fit. Working with stainless is not the most simple work you will do. The side material (Aluminum) would need to be sectioned in the front, each side, and extended and fit around the windows in the back seat. Bottom line, when I looked at the work that needed to be done I bagged the idea. However, if you still want to give it a shot. Glen Johnson, in Brigham City has a complete set of stainless and side trim. Let me know what you decided to do.

Brownie, I think I have figured out how to use three of the Hollywood bow covers. from the front lt looks like bows one, three and five will work with no mods on one and five. Bow three will have to be shortened an inch at each end and the clips drilled out and simply moved up the trim an inch. I have found that the mounting tabs that attach to the body and allow you to attach the trim are usually not with the trim and it makes it tough to attach. Im short one mounting tab but may be able to make one since its hidden by the headliner. If all that works out its a matter of covering the mounting screws and that area of the stainless on each side. I dont see anyway of using the Hollywood aluminum trim as its not even close. I did see that 52 club coupes have a polished headliner side trim that is the perfect shape and wide enough to at least cover the screws. Finding a pair may be impossible as its a one year only part. My second idea is to make a one inch or so wide trim out of door panel board and simply cover it with headliner material so it will blend in with headliner. The other thing is, the trim stainless are numbered on one end. #1 fits bow #1. trim #2 fits bow #3 with the ends shortened (I believe) and trim#3 fits bow #5. I won't get back to it for a while as I'm finishing up on paint and starting to assemble the engine.

Hi Chris and Brownie When I worked for a manufacture of ss water distillers I had them make clips to hold the 4 ss cross bows in place. I also had them make the clips that hold the wide 2 inch aluminum trim strip in place. All is needed is hidden nuts. Anybody need some. Ray
