Just thought that I would mention that Glen Johnson, Brigham City, Utah and long time Hudson man has put his very much loved 1953 Hudson Custom on E-bay. Glen just finished this custom and I must say that the photos do not do it justice. If you are looking for a custom check this one out:

    Wow! Nice car.

For the amount of customization 45 doesn't seem too far off.

You'd pay more to have it done,

I really like the backup lights in the rear bumper guards, was planning on.doing that for my 49 someday.

The ad says poor health is the reason for selling, too bad someone really put some time in on this one.

I think that car was originally built by Norm Willingham, from Susanville, CA- he and 2 other guys had Hudson custom cars, called themselves the Hudson Brothers, even had business cards made up. They came to a KKOA meet in Chehalis a couple of times about 20 years ago. I think all three had 455 Buick big blocks. Norm was a cool guy- one of those "larger than life" guys who never met a stranger.

I thought I remembered this subject had come up before, and found it- It was Norm's car, updated by Glen. Didn't link to it because the discussion took kind of a nasty turn, from some of the purists.

Also Googled Norm Willingham- he's had a chopped '49 Buick Sedanette since '99- nice pics of it, one apparently in front of his home.

Believe it or not, this car was once a parts car. Goes to show, even a parts car can have a new life. Arnie in Nevada.
