cleaning windows
My Wife and I went today to start working on the Hudson. We decided to clean all of the windows
We tried laquer thinner, Flitz and window cleaner to clean windows. They look clean but in certan
light conditions they look cloudy and not clean. Is this from age and sun. What can I do other than replacing all glass.
What I have now is quire good for the age except for being cloudy. Ray

try 0000 steel wool and white vinigar. A single edge razor blade works well on overspray also.0

Which windows are we talking about? Front and rear glass, side windows..all?0

Of course, if this is the original window glass, it may be starting to de-laminate, and the cloudiness is in the plastic inner layer between the two outer layers of glass. If continued cleaning doesn't help, this may be the case. If so, replacement of the glass will be necessary.0

They are the side windows door and quarter. I cleaned them with a razor blade which made them better but are still cloudy. And thanks for all the help. Ray

if you are using a window cleaner..make sure it contains no ammonia. ammonia cleaners streak and make the glass look hazy. regards, tom0

Paper towels don't help a bit either!! Use old news print. It's cheaper too.0
