Rear Armrest?

I have a quick question. Was the fold down armrest in the back seat an option? My ’53 Hornet doesn’t have one, but was reupholstered before I got it. Maybe it’s hiding under there?

It was standard on all the upper models such as Hornets and Commodores. I've seen Pacemakers with and without center arm rests as well as the Super series of 48-49. I've seen Wasps both ways as well. Now that really muddied up the water didn't it????0

A lot of other people would know better than me, but this was my understanding also, after the research I've been doing. Could still be under the new upholstery, possibly, but if not, my guess is you have a seat back that was not originally on that car.

For what it's worth, my '53 Hornet sedan has the original upholstery, and does not have the fold-down armrest in the back seat.0

If ya want one, it's a 3 pc seat back rather than the 1 pc. Holes should have been bored for it. Ask if someone has one from a donor Commadore/Hornet.0
