What is the difference between the 52 Pacemake and 53 Wasp sedan deck lid?
The parts book gives two different #'s

Yes. That plus on the 52 Pacemaker there was a tag light on the trunk lid. The Wasp had a tag light on the rear horsecollar on the bumper so there was no provision for a deck lid light.

In other words, the overall sheet metal piece is the same and will bolt on. The difference is what additional stamping dies the factory used to put in holes for the chrome /electrical /handle items.

Yes exactly. In theory you could take any 51-53 rear trunk lid and make it fit. So long as a sedan/brougham deck lid went on a sedan/ brougham, coupe/convert lid to coupe/convert trunk. You would have additional work to do but it would work.
