Drive shaft angle
Looking at the drive shaft on my 35 H8 roadster project, the universal joints will be at an angle of 6 or 7 degrees, modern recommendations by car U-joint makers are for a maximum of 3.5°. Presumably the makers are going for absolute minimum vibration and maximum life for their U-joints today.
Obviously the steeper angle tail shafts worked well enough in those earlier cars, any thoughts?

The key thing is that both u-joints have the same angle. Tapered shims are available for the spring mount pads to make any needed adjustments.0
