I'm not sure if Hudson's used brass nuts originally but I am using them when I get to that point. I was advised to only use brass nuts on my Kaiser engine to keep the manifolds from cracking. Why that is, I don't know for sure. The Kaiser engine has a similar method of attaching the intake and exhaust manifolds to the block and what the hell, I have a whole box of them and it couldn't hurt.0
