You need to block off the exhaust manifold heat riser chamber to use this manifold. The carbs are on either side of it. So the actual riser on the Edmunds is not as extreme as they may seem since the original stacks the intake and exhaust manifolds stack on top of each other. Nonetheless, the carbs still sit about an inch to inch and a half or so higher.
