A few Hudsons sold at the Auburn Fall auction

Sadly this nice 1932 Essex Terraplane coupe with rumble seat got away from me at $13,000. I was bidding on-line. The problem for me is that price turns into $NZ29,000 by the time it is shipped here with taxes and registration.
It was in very nice condition apparently with one re-paint and new interior. The horn still had the original sticker on it!
A very nice '34 H8 Coupe made $38,000 I think and a not so nice Hollywood $10,750.
Generally I'd say selling prices were pretty soft, often way under the price estimate range. A real nice 1931 Packard phaeton with a $175-225k estimate went out the door at $107,000.

I think that we are seeing soft prices around everywhere on many classic and older vehicles. Unless it is something that is really special like a convertible or a vehicle in really great shape prices have tended to fall lately.0

I noticed the same here in Quebec. Cars are for a long time on Kijiji or else and you see the prices drop month after month. Sadly, they are not Hudson and my religion do not permit me to buy anything else...Michel0

Speculators have driven prices beyond reasonable so they are moving on to jack prices up on other things.

The 32ET had average paint, but a really nice interior, and was a very good buy at $13K
Saw the Hollywood, kinda below par for a driver. It needed some paint work and detailing.
Also there was a 23 H speedester and it sold for $18,300. This spring it was offered for $25K. someone transported it from AL. to IN and did not get a big price for it, and paid big commissions. That 23 was probably a good buy, but it seems prices are falling on 1920s cars in today's market.0
