Be sure and read the whole HAMB thread- contains some entries from the builder (it's a 41 Hudson hood used for the boattail), some build pics, and at the very end, the Motor Trend article on the Martz car.0

I respect Bill and I see the genius in using the hood, but I must admit that the boattail would have looked much better tapered down lower at the back. I don't know how you could have fabricated it at a reasonable cost though, at least in metal. Possibly one could have made it of fiberglass over a wood form that looked something like a canoe.
Still, it is a cool looking car as-is!0
