Oil for transmission Hudson Super Six ?

Hello !

What kind of transmission oil should I use for our 1918 Hudson Super Six ? A SEA 140 or a SAE 250 ?

    Tom, you need straight 140 gear oil for the transmission. don't use E.P. oil, as this tends to be a bit unkind on the bronze bushes and thrust washer.

    I'm gonna disagree. Contact a ford supplier (model A and T) and purchase 600w. It is the correct weight and will allow the gears to slow a bit durring shifts thereby reducing gear clash
