    Josh,
I suggest measure the radiator and noticed in & out locations then walk the salvage yard looking at older vehicles for a decent radiator. Ive had the outlets changed at a local radiator shop when necessary. Lately, because old copper MOPAR radiators have become scarce, ive bought used aluminum crossflows at Swap Meets from race cars that work well. Ive turned cross flows upright too. The Chevy V8 Cross flow has the correct in/out's and works in my Stepdown.. I make two saddles at the bottom out from the crossmember and a center brkt at top.
However, the '37 -'47 chassis I turn crossflow upright brkt from each side, plug the cap, (because on side) then put a racer Fill Cap (from swap meet) in top hose, or mount 'small aux tank' with a fill cap from large Trk. I also fab baffling so all air goes thru Rad and not over, under, or around....

Ive done these simple conversions because recoring a Hudson 4 Core is approacing $800 now....Ive seen new Alum radiators at Swaps for $125, and used as low as $40 depending condition.

    Works for me...

    $500.00 for standard version
$600.00 for version with trans cooler
They made a CAD copy of my original 8 cyl. radiator. For my unit they moved outlet for
the thermostat further outboard for the 308 I'm using, and eliminated the panels down
    the sides
  • Uncle Josh,

I put a 1970's Ford truck radiator in my '46 Super Six. Someone on this forum said that's what he used when I asked this same question about 8 years ago. It fits in nicely. My old radiator did not have the shield that goes around it so Walt Mordenti sent all the pieces and it looks pretty original. The # on the radiator looks like 1550397. I'm not sure of the manufacturer but there is an M with a circle around it. It cost me $150.00. My car is not on the road yet so I cannot say how well it works but I start the car and leave to idle for about 15 minutes a couple times a week with no problems, but that's that's a far cry from running it on the road under load. Hope this helps,

    Jeff
