ENGINE PAINT \'54

I have tentatively chosen a Duplicolor brand,
"Chrysler Industrial Red" (Auto Zone); comparing it
to a 1954 sales brochure it's in the colors range;
there were two engines presented, and I realize
they were artist conseptions and 50 years have
passed and there may be some dimming of that
presented. I painted the pan already and it looks
rather good. I think it's anyone's guess after all
these years as to what is "correct". Red has a
tendency to fade anyway. I'd prefer a slightly
darker red but I could find only a much darker,
which was too dark. It's a 500 degree paint too,
if I remember correctly. Good luck0 -

If you want to get your engine painted in this decade don't order from Full Line. I ordered some parts from them over 2 years ago and have never received them. Everytime I would call I was told that my order was on the top of the stack and it would ship very soon. Sad thing is that Full Line offers parts that are impossible to get anywhere.
