Lance, Am I wrong, but isn't the '49 the last year for the non- pressure system. 7# started in '50 with the AC RC-3(850797) or AC 13( 846713 ) old number.0

Ron, Caps were used in 48-9 but had a different number -152554 used from 37 thru 49 and included the 1950 Pacemaker. Starting in 1950 the new number was 302265. A 7# pressure cap. Used up to 1954. You are correct. I would use a 7 lb cap anyway as the 49 262 was the same engine as the 1950 262 which used the pressure cap. Personal preference here but you are absolutely correct in the details.0
