INTAKES: Twin-H vs. aluminum 2bbl Intake for a 308 wide block
I have a Twin-H setup, plus I have access to purchasing a Hudson aluminum intake with single 2bbl; this engine will be used primarily for town and touring, cross-country use; not racing.
It has the dual header outlet, 7X valves, bore + .050", relieved...
Engine will be freshly refurbished, with NOS stocker cam, 306344.
I remember seeing a highly-polished aluminum single 2-bbl intake on a yellow/black engine; GEORGEOUS !
Which one would you recommend and why ? ?

Get an Edmunds 2x2 aluminum and that would look great. Sold 2 of them several years ago and wished I had held onto one of them!0

Go with the alum. 2 bbl. If is a Hudson single alum. 2 bbl. that is sort of a rare one. I have heard of them but never have seen one. Also think headers, lets the engine breath better. L Hud0

If its a 2Bbl from a '49 or '50 your much better off with the Twin H for power. If its a 'dual 2BBL' intake, they look nicer because you can polish the aluminum to glisten, but its debatable if it provides more power than a Twin H.
Twin H can be dressed up with Mr Gasket chrome air filters, but donr discard the factory A/cleaners....0
