254 Exhaust Manifold

A friend sent a 41/42 Manifold off to have a second exhaust port installed. When it returned, discovered his WDO carb wouldn't fit. Didn't know the bolt pattern was different from post war. Ports are a different diameter. What should he do to make his carb work. It's in a 41 Commodore that's been converted to a pickup long ago.

    Hudson used a different wdo carb base than most other auto makers you may be able to use a wdg carb in place of what you thought you were going to use

    Does the WGD have a different base? The diameters on the carb and exhaust manifold are different diameters. I need to know which carb or bases will work on which manifold. Are the bases interchangeable?

    NO THE BASES ARE NOT INNER CHANGEABLE
