Hi Hudson Essex enthusiasts!

I am working to restore a 1931 Essex boat tail and I am needing your help and guidance. The car is fairly complete but missing some parts unique to this vintage. Namely:
I am looking for:

Qty 1 - Good restorable 19 inch Essex wire wheel rim
Qty 1 to 6 -Essex hubcaps in restorable to excellent condition
Qty 1- Passenger side accessory tail light mount that bolts to the bumper bracket
Qty 2 - Side mount spare tire hold down clamps and tire covers. straps a plus that hold rear view mirrors
Qty Any - Windshield and convertible top wing nut hold downs
Qty 2- Accessory horns to mount below the headlight bar
Qty 1 - Excellent White Essex grill emblem

If you have other parts for this vintage I am interested in hearing from you.

Thanks for reading!

Thank you. I feel honored to be the care taker of this Essex. John Cook had owned this car since the 1950's where he rescued it from the junk yard.

The 19" wire rim is a 5 bolt pattern,40 spokes, short spokes are 3" and long spokes are 7". The inner hub is 12 3/4" diameter.

I understand that many cars are missing rims as they were donated to the war effort.

Here is the Boat Tail just before I started digging into it. My Dad "pushing" and my friend Alan at the wheel. I think I am the same chris you have been talking with.

The car is a long way from street worthy but I am excited to bring it back to life.

All of these are good suggestions.

What a great car you have. This will be fantastic once you get it done and on the road. What part of the country are you from? Also, more photos would be great...... I have added a photo of what my wheels and hubcaps look like. I think these are from the 30/31 rims (525X550 17" rims 4 bolt hole) Have not seen any caps like yours.

Sir, I have the sidemount clamps and special bolts if you haven't already found them. Also a serviceable wire wheel.
