Transmission Adapter Same?
I got into a discussion with my Hudson friends this weekend and no one knew for sure the answer to this question: A number of folks are making a transmission adapter kits for later Hudson sixes (308). Will these adapters work on a 254 Eight engine? Does anyone know if there are and what the differences would be between the 308 and the 254?

FYI
To my knowledge Hudson 6 & 8 shared same components....0 -
AFAIK the wide sump 8s, ie the stepdown 8s and the 262 etc 6s share the same bell housing bolt pattern.
Earlier 8s and splasher 6s also share the same bolt pattern but its different to the stepdown version.0 -
Thanks, Bob, I thought that might be as I had heard of differences between the splasher sixes and later pressurized sixes.0

I didn't know the 8's had a wide sump. What year did that happen?

48 to end of production in 52. Also the fuel pump location was altered to accept the same pump as the big 6s0

Thanks for the info Uncle Josh. Interesting about the fuel pump change to make 6 & 8s interchangeable.
