'54 door strikers.

Does anyone know if these are being reproduced, and are the Jet and Senior models the same. These use the star wheel type latch, not the pin type as in earlier Step-downs. I am looking at getting some Jet ones cast in bronze, but don't want to re-invent the wheel if someone is already producing them.

Geoff - I don't know of any reproductions for the Jet door strikers. I'll have to go out tomorrow and compare the Jet striker with the '54 Hornet - will let you know tomorrow evening.

I don't want this to get too far down the list. jetman, have you made the comparison yet? Waiting the results. I am in need of the same thing. L Hud

I'm prepared to go ahead and get these made if there is no other source available.

Yes Geoff, the strikers are the same for all Jets and the 1954 senior line.

So how many of you are willing to take a set? Cost estimate would be around $50 per piece.

Moving this back up. Has anyone found out if these parts are available elsewhere, or do I go ahead and make some? No feedback yet. I'll make a set for myself otherwise, and forget the rest.

I don't know of a current source for these strikers, however, I've got several squirled away for my use, so will not need any new ones at this time.

Seems like I saw pictures of polished stainless strikers for a Hudson but can't remember where or what year they were for.
  • Eshelman makes the earlier ones (52-53) but I don't think they have the 1954 ones.

Thanks, Geoff, but for a 4 door Jet plus overseas shipping, it would be a little bit to pricy for me.

I'll get a set sand-cast for myself, otherwise this project is dead in the water.
