I have my 49 convertible for sale on several sites and was approached by these people. Anyone have experience with them? They say their headquarters is in Las Vegas. http://classiccarsellernetwork.com/

As with anything on-line approach with caution. But, on the other hand, I'm a born cynic. I rarely do business on-line except with those I know and have done business with before, like Amazon, InkJetSuperStore (for discount printer ink) and a few others. I've been on-line since the early 90's and so far haven't been burned (except for a virus from somewhere in 2002.

If they ask for an up-front payment, I would pass on their offer. If they only want a cut of the selling price if they sell the car, then you have to figure out whether it's worth it. Frankly, you yourself know the best places to sell a Hudson: here at Classiccar, possibly over at the AACA's website, Hemmings Motor News and maybe Old Cars Weekly, Craigslist, the White Triangle News. And Ebay, if you're up against the wall in terms of time.

All of the above are either free, or have a very reasonable price in terms of their targeted old-car audience.

You have to ask yourself: if an internet seller (like the group you mention) is charging you up front for a listing, then how exactly are they going to find a buyer, if you cannot find a buyer yourself through a listing in the above-mentioned media?

The one unique services these people speak of is.. They screen calls and They can arrange financing . I suppose they get a cut of that too. Profit isn't a dirty word. But I am also the kind of guy that wants to talk to prospective buyer, and If he or she needs financing, and needs someone else to arrange it.... Maybe they shouldn't be buying in the first place .

Watch out for a number of these "help-u-sell" places. Most are scam artists. Your loss is their profit.
