262 engine and transmission for sale

Hi I just took the engine and tranny out of my 49 super six. Its a 262 with a non overdrive standard tranny. engine turns over but no compression as you can stick your finger in the spark plug holes and wiggle the exhaust valves. Engine is complete with gen, starter and carb.I have no idea what to ask for it , am open to offers.

    Would you happen to know if a 262 engine would fit into a 1/2 ton short wheelbase 41 pickup? The existing small splasher is in tough shape.

    Hi, I don't know if it will fit but I don't see why not. The engine is in Lethbridge, Alberta
