Just emailed the owner of this car about the Craigslist ad.

See it at the following URL.
    classicstreet.com/1949_hudson_commodore_convertible.htm

Car owner is located in Taylor Texas. Call the phone number listed on this webpage.

    UPDATE

The owner was not the source of this Craigslist posting and is looking into it.

    Not my car,

oldfarmer thanks for the link to the extra pics. That isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. If I were
in the market for a convertible to restore I'd contact them. I've seen way worse put back together.

I can think of two that are up and running - well, one is and one is about to be - that weren't much more than the bucket (seating area) to start with. There's Stig Ingvarsson's 1941 Commodore 8 Cv and Russ Chilton's 1952 Hornet covert. Compared to those two this one is ready to go down the street as is!!!

The best part of this thread is knowing people are seeing possibility of restoration instead of relegating the less than sterling examples to the crusher. Paul, Russell, Ed, Ron Fayette and others are Hudsonites who have brought "Shadow Casters" back from the brink of non existence and resurrected their Hudsons.

Good on those who complete these hard restorations.

Small Wonder I said "I can think of two.............." - you know me well enough by now to know I don't think to good. Your 50 fits in there somewhere. :D
