I like the comment in the notes that I read that this one is drivable. A serious build for one of you Hudson nutz...

Matt: The owner is not the one who placed the ad on Chicago Craigslist and he is aware of the ad.

Well, it still casts a shadow, and I think some of you started with worse. Hope some brave soul rescues it. There may have to be a "come to Jesus meetin'" on the price, however.

Kind of a funny car to me. The pictures aren't very good, unless you like to see seat springs! But, it looks to me like it was a decent car when parked. I don't see rust through the rockers, and although there was only one picture where you could see the inside of the frame, up around the A-pillar. It looks solid. I think those areas(frame and rocker) rust out from driving the car. So this thing was probably parked and filled up with water which rusted out the floors, of course. Unfortunately all of the sheet metal is pitted pretty bad. But, deal with that, right? The top bows are all there, if not useable, atleast good patterns?

I don't know. I'd say it's worth four or five grand? But I've never had a convertible. What do you guys think? :)

Must be a good buy Bent, I think he is asking 3K for it.

I've seen worse starts to a project, for sure. Hmm? I bet every single trim retainer clip will break off or be too pitted to use.

Brownie, I think the ad said 10K! Too much. You think it's worth 3K, or is that a little too much still?

At 3K I think it is a good project for someone who can do all the work themselves. I agree 10 is too much.
  • I'm thinking that if its going to take $50K or more to restore it then the difference between 3K and 10K isn't all that significant.

I'd do that one in a heartbeat. It's not that bad. I paid 10K for a hell of a lot worse. It's when you don't have those convertible-specific parts, it's really problematic.
