imagejust found these photos via FB.
appears to be very heavy in the rear & if not alum. body it would be.
It would appear the paint on the front fenders has big cracks, perhaps original?

That's the same car I've sent you a pic or two of previously Pete. Thanks for posting as now we have a view of the rest of the car and now know the body builder.

this car is/was part of a display of Swiss-bodied cars.
I looked up Gangloff in a website dealing with custom-bodied cars & only Gangloffs shown were on VERY expensive cars such as Bugatti & Voisin.
Most interesting, probably a unique "one-off".

Still - yours a much better pic, forgot about it, LOL.
In your photo looks like it's been restored, perhaps others are old photos (look like taken in a garage or ?). Norice in yours has a front lic. plate too & obviously operational.
Neat looking car, 3 windshield wipers but no hood ornament.

I've sent photo to Swiss friend Hansruedi Haessig, who owns a nice 33 Terraplane 6. Will report any info I get from him.

Swiss friend says the current owner of this car is in Bern. Here's the URL of the piece on Gangloff-bodied cars: http://www.pantheonbasel.ch/de/willkommen.html.
And photo of a '35 done by the same folks.

this fancy sedan in a different museum - interesting that 2 of these relatively inexpensive Terraplanes were fitted with very expensive custom bodies ~

blew up the photos to do a, as best I could, side-by-side comparison - each has different things done (such as the '34 phaeton has 3 wipers, '35 but 2) - I'd bet the fancy '35 sedan cost more than the phaeton when new.

Pete, when we were living over yonder, near Zurich, I attended a car show in '93 wherein there was a nifty matching pair . . . '39 Plymouth and '39 Dodge convertibles with Swiss coachwork from the windshield back. Pretty slick twosome. I have video of the cars there but no stills, darn it!
