I'm looking for an NOS back glass venetian blind for my 54. Looking for leads on where to search, who to call. I've included a picture of a 54 sedan with them.

I've seen a few that were built from window blinds , not a difficult job.
JC Whitney used to sell those , probably made by the same company that sold to Hudson.

The only "standard" ones I have seen are for the 48-9 models, but as Lostmind said, you can make one. The verticals should be to hard to duplicate and secure.

I had one in a '49 Commodore 6 I had for a while - trying to recall, but I think that's the only one I've ever seen. I think I've seen them listed in the accessory section of some parts manual or other.

That 54 is the same color combination as one of the 11 or 12 1954s at Winnetka house where you got yours. It also had rear window blinds. Small world.

Lee, the picture is the sedan from George Lauder's estate. I wish I had taken the blind off it but they were on the car for fifty plus years so they really needed to stay with the car as an identifying feature of the doctor's car.

Chris, I first thought it was Georges car when I saw the photo but the picture was not taken at his house so I thought it was a close look alike. Thanks for clearing that up. That is the only car from Georges I forgot to write down the name of the buyer. Tough to remember buyers from all 26 cars & trucks without a record. And I'm going to feel silly if you bought it and I didn't remember since it was one of the last to go.

I thought crossed my mind (what's left of it) after I looked at the photo. In today's world I wonder how long it would be before a traffic cop pulled you over for an obstructed rear window. Something to think about.

I really think most law enforcement won't bother drivers of classic and vintage cars for ticky tack code violations as a good percentange of them have a weekend ride at home in their garage too. Here in California it is not unusual to see a fenderless 32 ford, t bucket ect driving down the road and its clearly illeagle. That being said, they don't like cars with limo tint on the front door windows as they wan't to see who is driving.

I'd rather see through venetian blinds any day than trying to see through dark tinted windows when changing lanes hoping there is no car there.
