"Classic 2 Current" floor pans for Hudsons
I may be re-hashing a subject that's already been covered here. But, has anyone tried using the floor pans made by this company for various Hudsons? (Or, is this company simply selling pans made by others?)
Never hurts to ask, I suppose.... Here's the link: c2cfabrication.com/hudson/

I used their rear floor pans in the 52 Wasp, and yes they did take a lot of work to fit up but there is no other choice on the market right now. I used the front floor pans from Chris Spelic who is making the ones Ken used to make. Very good quality. Chris is in the process of making some more items as well.

FYI
Ive had local fabricator's make floor pans, trunk, door bottoms, and other panels for all my Hudson projects over the past 20yrs. First off, it was very difficult to find a fabricator. Everyone likes to just do collision work, replace panels and paint.. They all asked if I could get 'any' replacement panels to work with rather than building 'from scratch', which added labor time & material and wasnt cheap, however, at the time no panels were available so I had to pay the price..... Im glad to learn a Company is now making something for Hudson's that just needs some tweaking...

Wow that is really cheap for rockers! I bought some rear bought some rear floor pans for a Nash Rambler from these guys and as others have said it was not a fit that did not require a lot of work. If you guys think that parts for Hudsons are hard to come by, try finding any sheet metal for early Ramblers!0
-
If they work, Paul, you can't argue with the price!! I don't see how they could make a set of rockers for $25, though. Are they for a step-down?0
-
I take it that we have a qualified "thumbs-up" for the C to C floor plans (everyone agrees they require modification, but they're better than starting from scratch and "ya get what ya pay for".
Paul, I'll be waiting to hear how well the rockers fit, though for the price it would be a miracle if they didn't need some "help"!
As to this Chris Spelic, do I gather that his floor pans can pretty much be used as-is? Can someone send me contact information, so that I may add him to my list of Hudson Repro items available?
Rick, the interior photo came from C to C, not me! So I don't know whose '37 that is.0 -

Jon, Chris advertises in the WTN0

I mentioned before that I ordered the rockers from them, but what showed up was 54 rockers. I gave them to Ken Cates. I don't think they know the difference. I told them they were not for 48-53, so they refunded my money. I think if someone gave them a set to copy, they would make some.0
-
There's still scores of NOS rockers out there for 48-53's. Carl Weber had a slew of them as did Stu Coleman last time I saw those guys, which wasn't more than a couple of years ago. For that matter, Doug Wildrick has whatever kind of rocker you would need.0
-
I think the issue with NOS is the price. If these guys could make some for under $200 a set, they could probably sell a fair number of them. I think Lance Walker is making some from Fiberglass for around $700 (I might be wrong on price). His would have the correct curvature, but that is a lot of coin if you are just trying to have a decent driver. I have a set of the repops from Green Mountain I bought 20 years ago. They don't have the curve, but once I put the trim on, they look decent (nobody has ever spotted the imposters......)0

Ya know,... The stuff you buy from Harbor Freight is cheap, because it's "cheap". Just to make a point.
Ken U-TX, your right! I'm a little slow. But I'm starting to get it.0 -

Are you kidding Jon B?
You have been around here as long, or longer than most of us. Certainly longer than I, and I can tell you this dead horse has been beaten to a pulp!
"You may be re-hashing a subject that's already been covered here?" ...as if you didn't know.
Alright, I know about the 'c2c fabrication floors. They are fantastic and you should purchase everything you can for your car. Whatever they make for your car.0 -
Yes the rockers they have are for a 54 four door. I know this because I sent them the ones they used for the template. Sadly or maybe luckily due to the fitment issues I never had the chance to install them due to selling my car due to a death in the family.0
