parameter frame repair

We wound up not using the shrinker stretcher on this one as it (the shrinker stretcher jaws) is only rated to 16 gauge and the metal used for the box is 14 gauge. I think the next time I can build it out of 16 or even 18 gauge and make an inner and outer box. That would make forming easier and still give the strength intended. For the passenger side, Mel and Ron Falk sent me a frame section in good condition that they cut out of a parts car. That side is damaged from a broken axle I think.

    Seeing as how the shrinker/stretcher you were looking at that was capable of doing 14-gauge was $5000+, I think your solution is a great one! I like the work y'all did on the frame. It looks fantastic.

    Thanks RL, this is a learning experience for me as I've worked on Hudsons before but never have done a complete build like this on a stepdown.

    The axle was broken, prier owners had pulled that axle and stuck a flanged axle back in the axle tube to move the car around.
