Nice that with all the other cars he has, this one would be chosen to represent his first-love hobby interest. He bought it in late 2005. My two brothers and I had been out to CA in August for a "guys trip" to hit a lot of the noteworthy car museums and collections, including Jay's. A few weeks later when he acquired the '51, recalling that I was a Hudson guy he called me at home to say "Eat your heart out . . . I just bought a 21,000 mile, one owner '51 Hornet sedan."

Jay had arranged for us to see a taping of the show, and the photo was taken on the stage afterward. We toured the "garage" the next afternoon.
