What holds this trim piece on?

For '52-'53 Senior Cars:

What, exactly holds this trim piece onto the windshield post? (See Pic):

Obviously, the screw on the trim retainer on the upper left holds that corner, and the tab on the bottom slips underneath the trim retainer on the cowl, but what about the two other holes? (See the following two pics):

I'm sure it's some kind of retainer, but I do not know exactly what they look like.

Lastly, an old Hudson "expert" made me take the following picture many years ago and assured me that I couldn't put my windshield trim back on the car without these special retainers. He also told me that this is where they go, but I'm yet to figure those pieces out as well, but I did do enough scrounging to locate two of them:

Any light that can be shed is most appreciated.

Oh, and anyone who thinks that the body manual would be a good place to look, I assure you, it is not.

Nothing on this car has been "workable". I would be interested in original clips, though. That'd be great!

Thanks, Ken. Yes, there is an opening on the back of the pillar piece where a clip could be inserted and then slid into position. Let me know what Scott has to say.

Anyone familiar with the "unidentified" piece in the pics, above? Does it really go with the pillar trim piece?

RL, there is no spring clip in this area. It is a special clip that screws down in the middle of the vertical windsheild pillar, then screws down at the top. Make sure that you mask off this area when installing this piece,as well as other pieces acrossed the cowl. They will scratch when pulling them down. The vertical piece has to be installed first, then the top and bottom horizontal cowl and header pieces. These are always gone, even on a car that doesn't have rust isses. The piece in the middle, has a slight taper to it ,is slightly shorter than the opening on the stainless trim, and slides down to the cowl and locks it. It is designed to pull tight when slid into place, thus making it secure with no rattle/vibration. Hope this helps.

Thanks, CG! Now I just need to find that clip that goes on the pillar or at least a picture of what one looks like.
